MBN Update | PM Club 16 March 2020 postponed
Update: 16 March 2020 Dear MBN members and guests Unfortunately our event on Tuesday evening 17 March 2020, has been postponed with respect to all attendees, as Michelle Redfern is confined to self-isolation due to a respiratory illness causing her to fall into the vulnerable category for COVID-19. We will move all bookings as a credit to a TENTATIVE date of Thursday 28 May 2020 and will communicate directly with you when this date is confirmed. We have a complete list of attendees so there is no issue with us remembering who has paid and booked. In light of the current COVID-19 situation, the Melbourne Business Network (MBN) is working to the City of Melbourne management policy. See link As we typically do not run mass gatherings, our other events will go to plan pending speaker comfortability and availability, starting next month. We will endeavour to secure large spaces that provide capacity which will assist in managing social distancing and will only work with venues that provide a COVID-19 policy while this is still flagged by our government as an issue. To assist with our networking, we will be discouraging the usual physical contact by way of handshakes and the exchanging of business cards. Instead, we will be using social media tools such as LinkedIn to connect and share details. The monthly MBN Committee Meeting is being held tonight, 16 March 2020 where our risk mitigation strategy and a more immediate statement regarding contact at our events will be finalised for distribution. Thanks Wendi Dawson, President, Melbourne Business Network
