VSBC Update | Supporting Small Business during COVID-19
Stage 4 restrictions will ease from 13 September 2020.
Do you know what you are entitled to access?
To ease financial hardship faced by some tenants and landlords as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Victorian Government has introduced the Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme (the Scheme).
The Regulations for the Scheme have been made under the COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) Act 2020. Under the Scheme, the Victorian Small Business Commission (VSBC) is providing commercial tenants and landlords with access to free mediation to support fair tenancy negotiations.
An informative session to bring you up to date on how the Victorian Small Business Commission can help landlords and tenants with rent relief negotiations during the COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria;
• Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme, how it applies to your tenancy
• Free mediation service offered by the Victorian Small Business Commission
• Resources to support your mental health through this time
LIVE Webinar with Q&A – attendees will have the opportunity to ask Judy O’Connell, Victorian Small Business Commissioner questions at the end of this session
In December 2016, Judy O’Connell was appointed as the Victorian Small Business Commissioner and has since overseen the development of a new three year business strategy outlining plans for a fairer and more competitive environment for Victorian small businesses. In 2018 Judy was honoured to be named one of the Top 50 Public Sector Women in Victoria.
The Victorian Small Business Commission is an independent government agency that advocates on issues that affect small business, ensures you understand your rights and responsibilities and helps you avoid or resolve any disputes.
