Some suggestions from the Salvation Army:
to help choose a suitable gift for a teenager.
Please ensure gifts are NOT wrapped and that items are new. Battery operated items are great – but do include batteries.
Gift Vouchers: such as iTunes, Netflix, Department Stores, JB Hifi, Rebel, Hoyts/Village Cinemas, Dymocks, Supermarkets… Note: Gift vouchers/cards are accepted but not printed or electronic gift vouchers.
Other ideas:
Nail polish sets
Perfumes
Nice toiletry bags
Journals with a lovely pen
Adult coloring books with pencils
Wallets/hand bags
Make up kits
Books
Hair clips & Costume jewellery
Please read the Salvation Army Gift Giving Guidelines:
- Donating gift vouchers means a parent or guardian can still share in the joy of buying a gift for their child or partner (they’re also ideal for teenagers)
- Please leave gifts unwrapped so parents or guardians can choose which gifts suit their child’s interest and personality (feel free to include wrapping paper or gift bags)
- What you donate may be the only present someone receives this Christmas, so please only donate new items (your local Salvos Store would gladly receive your good quality pre-loved items)
