Sustainability Award
Winner: MESA VERDE INCORPORATING WORMLOVERS
Mesa Verde is a Mexican-inspired restaurant bar, located on level 6 of Curtin House. A unique component of the business is a thriving rooftop food garden that supplies the kitchen with key fresh produce including hard to source native Mexican ingredients.
In addition, a flourishing worm farm has also been established on level 6 to create an almost self-sustaining, waste-free ecosystem, which is well on its way to being achieved for Mesa Verde. The fertiliser produced by the worms provides the foundations for the rooftop food garden.
